MBQ Power Players Reception 2014
Many of this year’s MBQ Power Players enjoyed a celebration and networking event at Folk’s Folly last night, celebrating the release of the 2014 issue. More than 600 people from 42 categories are featured in this year’s fifth edition of Power Players, recognizing the leaders who work to continually drive Memphis forward.
In addition to the impressive listing of Memphis Power Players, this year’s issue also recognizes the MBQ Business Hall of Fame and Last List, leaders whose work did not fall into a specific category, along with Winners and Finalists of the 2013 MBQ CEO of the Year Awards and Winners of the first annual 2013 Innovation Awards, co-presented by MBQ and the Fogelman College of Business & Economics at the University of Memphis.
The event was sponsored by Waddell & Associates, represented during the event by Chief Operating Officer Dawn Rapoport, also one of this year’s Power Players, along with CEO David Waddell.
Since the first issue of Power Players was released in 2010, the individuals and categories represented have grown each year. Through our efforts to compile this list, our staff has learned again and again that Memphis is truly upheld by a broad spectrum of individuals, using their unique abilities to build the city we know and love, one industry at a time.
At MBQ, we are honored to recognize our city’s best and brightest leaders and the work they do to drive Memphis forward. A huge thanks to Folk’s Folly Steakhouse and Waddell & Associates for their help in making this year’s event a success. We are already looking forward to sharing the impact of our 2015 Power Players and the progress they will make over the next year.
