Flight Restaurant and Bar Opens Wine Cellar for Private Events

Anna Cox

Flight Restaurant and Wine Bar is known for its upscale dining experience, extensive wine pairings, elegant atmosphere, and prime location on South Main Downtown, but now, they're bringing more to the table.

Last night, they held an open house complete with wine and a buffet of tasty treats like fried green tomatoes, crab legs, shrimp, stuffed mushrooms and more, to announce the grand opening of the Flight Wine Cellar.

Located just steps away from the restaurant's entrance on Main and Monroe, the Wine Cellar is housed in what used to be the original safe from Brodnax Jewelry. George T. Brodnax constructed the building when he founded his jewelry company in 1897.

Reserved for private dining only, this banquet location provides a unique atmosphere with a deep history. With a maximum capacity of 100, the space is ideal for business meetings, cocktail receptions and the like.

For more information about how to reserve the space, please contact Melissa Nichopoulos, banquet coordinator, at 598-3992.
