Local Company Vies for Walmart Nod
Bartlett-based American Paper Optics is part of a contest recently launched by Walmart to call attention to innovative retail products. The contest, dubbed "Get on the Shelf," offers the winning retailer a chance to sell its products in Walmart stores nationwide, as well as online at walmart.com.
American Paper Optics' entry is called the Holiday Magic 3D Viewer, a plastic toy that displays five different holiday images when held up to the light. The images include a snowman, Santa, reindeer, a snowflake, and a Christmas star. The viewer is among more than 4,000 product entries.
To participate in the first round of voting, visit http://www.getontheshelf.com/product/5190/Holiday-Magic-3D-Viewers by April 3. After that, 10 finalists will be chosen and a final round of voting will begin on April 11.
