Rapper Rick Ross Opens Second Restaurant in Memphis
Maybach Music Group CEO and platinum recording artist Rick Ross is heating up Memphis with the opening of his latest Wingstop, located at 4697 Poplar Ave, just in time for Memphis Madness, the University of Memphis basketball kickoff event, Friday, Oct. 12 at the FedEx Forum.
Ross, who rapped about his love for Wingstop and Lemon-Pepper flavored wings on his hit album Teflon Don, has a multi-unit, multi-state deal with Wingstop that includes his restaurant in Hickory Hill (7706 Winchester Road) and one in his hometown of Miami, Florida.
“We’ve totally hit the spot here in Memphis,” said Ross. “I like being able to share my favorite wings and empowering the community with jobs at the same time.”
As the Official Wings of the Memphis Tigers, Wingstop will offer specials for fans during the game, and free wings for a year for one lucky winner.
