Joined hospital in 1980. Named CIO in 2006. Former director of hospital’s Hartwell Center for Bioinformatics and Biotechnology, and holds an Endowed Chair in Bioinformatics. Brought bioinformatics resources to St. Jude in the form of applications, databases, computing environment, and expert support. Plays key role in overseeing the research computing infrastructure and high-end support for the Pediatric Cancer Genome Project. Has published more than 70 research articles and book chapters.
